   No I only ask questions when I need an answer. I joined hubpages to write hubs not clog the sight with useless questions, which is the majority of what you see here now. They never should have started paying revenue for them all the important questions get lost in the mix just so hubbers can make an extra penny, it's pathetic.

      I managed to earn 12 cents from adsense in 3 days with almost 900 views to my questions, definitely not worth the effort.

   No... but I've recently discovered the benefits of questions and have asked a few. I've been toying with the idea of asking more questions. At some point I'm just going to have to sit down and make a list of questions that I'm genuinely interested in because I think it is best if it is something you actually want to know. Then I could easily post a question a day.

      Making a list is a good idea. I always have good questions when I'm not around the internet and then can't remember them when I do finally log onto Hubpages.

   I only ask a question when I need an accurate answer in a hurry...mostly about Hubpages when I can't find an answer in the learning center.  I find that most of the questions are useless and some are down-right irritating.  And there are questions that are stupid from time to time.
   
   I only have so much time each day to devote to Hubpages and unless the question is useful to me or one that I have a good and helpful answer for, I would never ask a question every day.

      I've always thought about using Hubpages for the quick answer, but it also is dependent on if your question comes up on top or not. I sometimes feel like my questions get swept under the carpet with all the other questions and don't get answered

   No. A question a day would be over the top and below the belt, a ridiculous attempt to accumulate pennies whilst not really wanting true answers or debate. I see strange things in the Answers section, like a dozen zany questions from the same hubber. This in my mind undermines HubPages and I think there should be better scrutiny.
   
   Some are exploiting Answers and that's not good. If a question is asked it should be one that invites straight fact or meaningful debate and comment. Anything else should be directed towards a non revenue Trivia section?

   Yes I do have many questions a day, because everybody I come across, everything I read or hear, I can learn something from, so I like asking questions. Do I come up with valid questions for Hubpages each day? That is something to think about. Very good question

    On hubpages no, not really.  One or two a week when I really want an answer but I do find that I ask loads of questions in real life.  Once I think of a question, I find it hard to not to look for the answer.
    Hubpages is a great way of me finding the answers.

    I quite agree that you should think about the questions you want answering. Although I haven't asked many questions I have thought about the ones I have asked and it's proven quite beneficial.
    
    I love the idea of it because you can get your questions answered on anything you like so rock on hubpages!

       People are definitely more friendly about it here. When I try to get my questions answered on facebook, people just tell me to google it. I'd rather get a person's opinion than wade through EVERYTHING on the internet.

    Until I read this question I felt the questions this month although it seems less than normal created more interest. In an odd way you have created interest with yours also. First you have to understand what the questions section started out to be.
    
    It was a way to get our questions, the things we didn't understand about how hub pages worked, put out so they could be answered. The idea was someone who knew the answer would share their knowledge thus saving work for the "staff" of hub pages. When I joined you had to access the forum to ask a question.
    
    The change in part was made to increase our skills and knowledge. A side effect was that we are able to gain more traffic if our questions and answers are written in a way which garners interest. They also now have the ability to earn from. This however is not a good reason to ask them.
    
    As far as earning from questions is concerned; there are simpler ways to earn with hub pages. If you have a need to ask questions; ask about how to increase the SEO value of the hubs you write? How do I find keywords which are searched?  What are referral trackers and how can I use them to increase my income? 
    
    How about what is Alexa?   How does using the information found  there increase my chances of being read? Do you know who hub pages major audience is? What is the value of writing to the audience? Should I copyright my articles? In each case though you will find hubs which answer these questions.
    
    There are even hubs which talk about how asking the right questions and having others answer can generate interest for your hubs. Increased income will be a side effect. Every one of the answers to these questions have value. This is both to the person who asks as well as anyone else who happens across them. It is the real reason this section exists.

       As this states there are easier ways to earn on hub pages.  When you have a question which you need an answer to by all means ask. I personally know there are simpler ways to earn on hub pages.

       Hubpages doesnt pay you at all for questions adsense does I had nearly 900 views on questions and earned 12 cents no thanks I'll stick to writing articles.

    No, I don't ask questions just for the sake of asking, I only ask if I really want to know the answer, or what other people think about something. I enjoy having a peep at what other people are asking and some of the replies are really helpful.

    I answer many more than I ask since when I click on My Account drop down to check on earnings the Question of the Day awaits me.  Yours was the question before me today and since I found it one that is easy to answer here I am leaving you a reply.  Definitely, I do not ask a question a day on HubPages.  Usually not even one a week.  Answering is the same way, not every day, just when I find the question interesting and easy to answer.  Most of the questions I do ask have to do with how to get the most benefit out of HubPages and inquiries about earnings, commenting, etc.  Good question!

       Thanks! Yeah, as I was saying earlier on another comment, I didn't know one could generate money this way. In all honestly, I'm not even generating any money on Hubpages. I've been on this thing for a year and still can't figure out Adsense!

       It says I need to own my own domain name, and then, from what I gather, I link my hubpages to the site. I don't ahve a domain name, and I'm wondering if absolutely everyone on Hubpages has gone and bought their own name for this purpose

       I did try that, but then Google Adsense said that I didn't own the domain name so it couldn't accept my request
